AI Quiz Battle
A pub quiz, but with live AI tools
Teams compete across rounds on AI myths, prompt battles and 'what did the AI actually answer'. Everyone joins in, no prior knowledge required.
- No prior knowledge needed
- Works with groups up to 80
- Live scoreboard and a prize for the winners
- A great opener for a team day
What will you be doing?
A pub quiz, but with live AI. In teams of three to five you compete across five rounds for the trophy. Your trainer presents, and a live scoreboard keeps the score. Between rounds there are short demos where the AI tools are pulled open — so you don't just play, you also see what sits underneath.
Programme
00:00 — Opening and teams (10 min)
A short introduction to where AI stands in 2026. Teams pick a name (the AI suggests alternatives for inspiration) and the scoreboard goes live.
00:10 — Round 1: Fact or hallucination (15 min)
We show answers an AI generated. You decide: real or invented? It teaches you where AI confidently produces nonsense.
00:25 — Round 2: Prompt the Painter (20 min)
Each team gets a secret painting. Who can get an AI closest to the original using text prompts alone?
00:45 — Short break and demo (10 min)
00:55 — Round 3: Who said it, human or AI? (15 min)
Quotes from well-known public figures against AI-generated quotes. Surprisingly difficult.
01:10 — Round 4: Rapid fire (20 min)
Fast trivia about AI, the companies behind it and recent developments. Points for speed.
01:30 — Round 5: The final (20 min)
The top three teams get a closing challenge involving several AI tools. Colleagues vote on the best solution.
01:50 — Prize-giving (10 min)
What do participants need to bring?
- One laptop or tablet per team (not per person)
- A bit of playfulness — no prior knowledge needed
Which kind of team is this for?
Companies who want a strong kick-off for a themed day. Groups where AI experience varies a lot, because within a team the newcomers and the power users reinforce each other automatically.
Running it as part of a Carousel
The AI Quiz Battle is also available as one of four stations in the AI Company Day Carousel — a programme of roughly two and a half hours for groups of 200 participants and up. In that format the quiz round runs about twenty-five minutes and takes place in its own breakout room: no projector or screen needed.
In that case the quiz questions are tailored to your sector during an intake call beforehand, so the examples are recognisable to every participant — including those with little AI experience.
Which teams is this for?
Teams who want to get to know each other better and find out what AI can really do.
